ULTRA RED™ is a dyed red core stock developed in the Legends Advanced Research Laboratory as the follow-up to our ULTRA BLACK™ technology, and it is exclusive to Legends.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHow it is made:\u003c\/strong\u003e we laminate an ultra-thin mylar full-foil layer to the red core before printing or cutting. That gives us a smooth, nearly opaque, water-resistant surface to print Randy Butterfield's artwork on, with a shimmer wherever the foil shows through the ink. The colors are laid down on a 2-ton sheet-fed offset UV press and cured with UV light rather than a heat tunnel, which gives the cards a soft, supple feel that is slightly lighter and thicker than Classic Finish.
